By Lori Ewing KANSAS CITY, Missouri, July 3 (Reuters) - Jhon Arias scored the only goal as Colombia beat Ghana 1-0 in sweltering conditions in Kansas City on Friday to reach the World Cup last 16, continuing a quietly impressive campaign that has established them as dangerous outsiders.
From Louisiana to Los Angeles, Colombia and Ghana fans came to Kansas City's Power and Light District to watch the World Cup match.
Forced into making a rare early move, Colombia coach Nestor Lorenzo sent Luis Suarez onto the field, and he promptly delivered a sharp cross that Jhon Arias flicked into the net, resulting in the only goal on a sweltering night at Arrowhead Stadium and sending Los Cafeteros into the Round of 16 at the World Cup with a 1-0 victory over the Black Stars.
